I’m told that my prints and signed prints will go up tomorrow on WWE Shop. I’m under the assumption that this will be all of the signed prints but I don’t know for sure. As we’ve seen with this process, everything that could cause delays DID cause delays but I think it’s all worked out now. I’ll send another email out once I see what’s up and available. I don’t know what exact time on Friday. Could be midnight, could be some time during the day. We’ll know when we know!
Thanks for your patience and support through this whole process. I know there’s a very passionate fanbase for the signed prints especially and I’m REALLY excited to finally make this massive selection available to you.
And now back to our regularly-scheduled broadcast:
MY FIRST-EVER OFFICIAL WWE PRODUCT
WAY BACK in November 2013 (nearly ten years ago!) WWE brought back the WWE Auction site and launched this original Daniel Bryan painting to be bid on. This publicly began my long and successful relationship with not just the WWE Auction site but also WWE as a whole. We’d been in talks for a few months before this and I had been told that they were actually building the site around me and my work.
I took that very seriously (and still do) and did my best to produce work that was worthy of the trust they were putting in me. Soon we had matted paintings with the mats signed by the WWE Superstars, which in some cases brought in HUGE bids. Before long we had posters at WWE Shop and after the success of print sales at WrestleMania XXX we soon started selling prints on Shop and signed prints on Auction.
The signed prints at WWE Auction were a longtime huge success. There were many months where they were the top-selling item on the site and at times were the reason that division was able to hit its budget. It was because of the signed prints especially that I soon started working backstage at WWE events and building in-person relationships with the Superstars and the amazing people on the other side of the curtain who do so much to make the magic happen. All of those relationships have proven to be very important and meaningful with many becoming real and true friends.
When Fanatics took over the operations of Auction and Shop, WWE made sure I was a part of the transition. I was nervous to begin working with the Fanatics team because I had become so comfortable with everyone at WWE but they were top to bottom tremendous to work with as well.
And now here we are with everything moving over to WWE Shop and it’s quite possibly the biggest victory of my personal and professional life. I still own my work and I’m still directly overseeing (and occasionally still doing it myself) the shipping and handling of the art. We’ll gradually have all of my prints available at Shop with new signed prints releasing regularly as I obtain them. The Fanatics WWE Shop team told me that they’re finally able to give me the resources to make a real go of this and I’m going to do everything in my power to make this a success.
This is going to maybe sound very egotistical but I make every business decision looking at how it will exist ten years down the road. My wife Katy can tell you what’s happening now is EXACTLY what I was working towards when that Daniel Bryan painting launched ten years ago. Hard work, perseverance, and a lot of faith in myself and my work got us here, along with every person who did me the honor of saying, “I like your work.”
Thank you for being on this journey with me. Just wait until you see what I have in mind for the year 2033.
Love you more,
Rob
(Lordy I really hope they launch tomorrow!)
