WORDS  

Mystery shrouds the bizarre Uncle Howdy and his cryptic messages for Bray Wyatt. The only thing I know for sure was that he has a distinctive look that I couldn't wait to paint.

Taking inspiration from the artists Emil Nolde and Bob Peak, I crafted a haunting portrait of this enigmatic persona that evokes a spirit emerging from the fog to terrify any unwitting viewer. The vertical brushstrokes give it an otherworldly and rather uncomfortable feeling, brought home by the one visible eye penetrating your psyche!

YOU GOOD?  

Nine years ago yesterday I launched my first product with WWE! It’s been an incredible series of opportunities and accomplishments since then that I’ll never really wrap my head around.

Thanks to the platform they gave me, the teamwork from everyone at WWE on both sides of the camera, and the support from each and every person just like you who has believed in me and my work and let it into your homes, I get to live this amazing life. THANK YOU.

My work’s been featured on action figures, trading cards, comic books, t-shirts, in video games, on WWE TV, at WrestleMania Axxess, and of course what I feel is the perfect representation of the art: Prints. It’s been collected by literally millions of people around the world, something that’s just too big to wrap my head around.

After all of that bragging you may not think it but I definitely struggle with imposter syndrome and some massive self-esteem issues. I grew up below the poverty line in a single-mother household. Everything was stacked against me and the life I have now is in direct contradiction to everything society told me I should expect from my future. I believed in myself, though, as well as a small number of key people in my life and then a whole lot of people just like you.

But yeah, it’s hard on a nearly daily basis to not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and I have to be mindful of not doing so.

I was worried after leaving Twitter for personal reasons earlier this week and heading over to Hive (also robschamberger on there) that I’d take a hit in sales but so far I’m on track to hit the same levels as last year. Uhm…I keep saying this, but THANK YOU for sticking with me as we continue to navigate this modern world we’re trying to live in.

There’s A LOT out there competing for your hard-earned money and your attention and I’m going to keep doing my very best to be worthy of you. My life’s infinitely better because of you.
