Time Travel Art Machine: The Beastie Boys!

I'm tellin' y'all, it's a sabotage.

Back in October 2019 I made daily music-themed paintings and called it Rocktober, and it was all kind of an excuse to make last week’s Clash painting and this one for The Beastie Boys’ epic video Sabotage. Clearly inspired by 70’s movie posters, everything on this was hand-painted including my best lettering I’ve ever done with the logo.

I saw them back in 1998 for the Hello Nasty tour and this was their closer. They turned on the house lights for this, no fancy lighting needed, and the entire arena lost their got-danged minds but it was utter pandemonium as Adrock did his famous scream two minutes in. The best moment of the best concert I ever went to, hands down.
