Hi. My name's Rob Schamberger. I'm that guy who paints rasslers. And other stuff. Might seem a little far-fetched but why would I lie to you?

WHAT’S NEW?

A couple weeks ago while sorting through some of my archives I found this signed Wyatt Family print! This was, I believe, the first signed print I did with them. It’s on 8.5” x 11” glossy stock, unlike how I do my prints now. As I remember it, this was our test to see if people wanted to buy signed prints. Hey, we didn’t know yet!

This one’s extra special because, of course, it’s also signed by the late, great Jon Huber aka Luke Harper. I miss him. I’m giving this away at random to anyone who leaves a comment to this letting me know what your favorite moment from a vacation was.

SOMETIMES I MAKE PAINTINGS

The rest of the paintings I made during our stay on the Big Island!

This is a regular photo I took on my phone. This is a real place!

YOU GOOD?

On Monday night Katy and I went to a perfect restaurant called Meridia, located on the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort property. Our reservation was for 6PM, right before sunset. We walked into the lobby of the Westin and the above photo was what greeted us. Like…just walking in. THIS WAS THE LOBBY. Katy and I were legitimately stunned, stopped in our tracks by the overload of beauty we were taking in.

We walked our way down a winding path to Meridia (located in the bottom left of the photo, for reference) and after getting drinks at the bar we were led to our table at the edge of the terrace to enjoy our drinks with some fresh-baked bread to watch the sun make its decent through the horizon.

We ate some delightful food while watching the waves crash against the beach as the sky took on deeper and deeper hues of red into purple into black. After finishing, we went back up to the bar in the lobby for a couple more rounds, taking it all in.

I don’t know if it was the most perfect moment of my life, but it’s got to be in the top three and at the moment I don’t know what was better. An evening of pure joy, beauty and wonder and I got to share it all with the love of my life.

It’s good to recognize these moments when they happen and I’m glad that I was able to let it all soak in and appreciate it as it unfolded.

Love you more,
Rob
