Hi. My name's Rob Schamberger. I'm that guy who paints rasslers. And other stuff. History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of men.
WORDS
I’ve painted Samoa Joe several times over the past decade or so, and I think what draws me back again and again is his inherent violence. Like, there’s a lot of reasons to make portraits of pro wrestlers but at the end of the day I want them to LOOK and FEEL like pro wrestlers. Joe’s one of those people, whose very look is a promise of a punch.

Hey, honey.
FOOD, DUDE!
Sunday I started my first batch of homebrewed mead. Yeah, I’m that guy now. It’ll be a minimum of one month before it’s ready to drink but it’s an easy way in to learning about fermenting.
In the picture above, the cheesecloth-covered jars in the background are various vinegars I’m developing. See, anything fermented can then be turned into a vinegar. Now, we’re planning to drink this honey wine but I want to learn more about the process of making it so that I can start experimenting with other ingredients that I can then turn into vinegars. There’s something fascinating to me about adding acidity to a flavor profile, y’know?
Anyway, it’s a longterm project made up of smaller longterm projects, each of which that ends with tasty ingredients for food. Not bad!
Love you more,
Rob
