ORIGINAL PAINTINGS: Rob Schamberger Newsletter 06FEB25
No colors anymore, I want them to turn black.
Original paintings! Like those things in museums! These go on sale in half an hour at 12PM CST.
Hi. My name's Rob Schamberger. I'm that guy who paints rasslers. And other stuff. Painted black, black as night, black as coal.
WORDS
It’s cool when my friends at ShopAEW make my original paintings available, and I’m super excited about the three being offered up today featuring AEW originals Darby Allin and Hangman Adam Page and the Icon Sting! Sometimes I get people who ask me what the difference is between a painting and a print, so here’s a quick ‘splainer if you’re unfamiliar. The painting is the original hand-painted artwork, where I physically put paint to brush and created the image. Like those things hanging in museums.
My prints are made by taking high resolution photographs of the painting and then printing that image on quality paper with industry-leading inks. Like, it’s the difference between seeing DaVinci’s Mona Lisa at the Louvre in Paris versus having a print of it hanging in your home. The painting is THE PAINTING and only one person gets to have that.
I think it should be you.
Both the Darby Allin and the Adam Page paintings are made with watercolor on 12” x 16” watercolor paper and priced at $500 each. The Sting painting was made with acrylic paint on 16” x 20” illustration board and is priced at $750.

FOOD, DUDE!
Katy made this incredible lemon spaghetti for us Monday night and I thought you should know all about it, so I invited her to do a writeup about this dish. Take it away, Katy:
Hi friends! I don’t know about you, but I’m O-V-E-R winter and ready for warmer weather. That feeling collided a couple weeks ago with the receipt of a weekly newsletter from one of my favorite food bloggers and cookbook authors — Deb Perelman of Smitten Kitchen. She shared a citrus-themed recipe round-up and I actually started drooling as I scrolled through her recipe for Spaghetti A La Limone.
It’s one of the easiest things I’ve made in recent memory — an aromatic mixture of lemon zest, lemon juice, fresh Parmesan, salt, pepper and olive oil that coats a tangle of subtly salted spaghetti. It’s rare that I make a recipe as written without adding my own spin, and this was no exception.
As the salted pasta water came to a boil, I sauteed half of a diced white onion with a couple handfuls of sliced baby bella mushrooms. As they browned, I doused them with a generous pour of dry white wine and let the wine reduce as the noodles cooked.
Dish the noodles into a large bowl with your cheesy lemon mixture, add the sauteed veggies and a little of the pasta water, and you’ve got a dinner that’s simultaneously invigorating but also comforting. Pro tip? Toss a couple ciabatta rolls in a 400-degree oven for 7-8 minutes and use the crusty bread to scoop up any sauce remnants.
Here’s the recipe —> Simplest Spaghetti Al Limone
Give it a try and explore more of Deb’s brilliance. I think you’ll be, well ….. smitten ;)
Big hugs!
Katy

Thanks Wife! Katy’s doing big things in life right now and has some cool things in the works that she’s worked really hard towards. I’m thankful she was able to take a moment the other night to make this dish for me and to now write about it for you.
Love you more,
Rob
