Sometimes a painting just clicks and that’s exactly what happened with my new Cope portrait. I knew if I went with a monochromatic red color scheme it’d be equally haunting and horrific, that undercurrent that he’s had throughout career. A sense of menace always under the surface, ready for the right moment to raise its head.

Tuesday night I did another pass at this mac and cheese recipe and it went spectacularly. I made a few tweaks to it that I’m happy about: First, I added some garlic powder to the bread and butter mix, making it more like garlic bread. It was noticeable in the final dish and did a lot.
I chopped and sautéd an onion and some mushrooms and added them to the sauce mix, along with some freeze-dried garlic and red onion. I was out of fresh garlic or I would have used 4-6 cloves of that instead but this still turned out wonderfully.
The crispy garlic bread topping is a genuine delight and adds some texture variation. That said, the microwaved leftovers may lose the crispiness but somehow the flavor is even more abundant. Something about all of it sitting there overnight and soaking up all of the taste. Yum!

Some solutions I’ve thought of
1) purchase an acrylic marker, as long as the marker is specifically labeled archival quality" to ensure it won't fade or react negatively with varnish over time to sign the painting
2) have the back of the painting signed
3) travel with the matted border and have him sign the mat
4) having sting sign the authenticity card you included.
Huge fan Rob. Purchased the last Cope portrait #50. I also purchased your original sting artwork last month and just got it framed and matted.
Looking for advice, going to Wrestlemania, going to meet Sting to get the painting signed. Now I don’t want to travel from DC to Vegas with this big border mat. Any suggestions? It would just be tough carrying the mat with me on the plane or risking it getting damaged in the luggage.
