Hi. My name's Rob Schamberger. I'm that guy who paints rasslers. And other stuff. But they're closing the bar and they want us to leave.
WORDS
A-R-T of the D-M-D! My first-ever and much-demanded painting of Britt Baker is finally here. As soon as she returned I started planning out this painting, using the skills I learned from my time studying the great masters in Florence, Italy to give this piece the extra impact that its subject needs.
ARTIST OF CHAMPIONS
This video opens with our young one Tikka ‘helping’ me work on the painting. He’s learning still!
DANHAUSEN SHIRT!
Tomorrow at 11AM CST my super-popular Danhausen painting will be used for ShopAEW’s super-cool One Hour Sale. Available for only one hour, so it’s super-exclusive. Make sure you set an alarm so that you can get yours!
These one hour exclusives are pretty rad, honestly. Once the buying window closes they immediately start printing the shirts and within an hour of that they ship out. It’s cool to be a part of this.

Food, dude!
YOU GOOD?
My main hobby nowadays is gardening, but here in the Midwest I can only do that for about half the year. I think I’m going to start focusing a bit more on cooking as a hobby. I’m not looking to get real fancy or anything, but I really like the idea of putting a plan together, executing it with ever-improving skills, and then being rewarded with food. Cooking for a reason beyond sustenance, y’know?
I make a pretty mean egg sandwich for breakfast (sautéed onions are the trick), and I just whipped up a solid batch of egg salad for this week’s lunches. Monday night I made stuffed shells for our dinner. Nothing fancy about that meal, pretty much a burn-and-serve with a couple alterations but it still felt good simply being present in the moment and getting rewarded with a delicious meal.
We all prepare food and eat it, it’s the purpose we put around these sorts of routines that gives them meaning and ideally some joy. In his brilliant Understanding Comics, Scott McCloud summed this up perfectly:
Now pardon me while I go consume some art.
Love you more,
Rob
